WRITING

In our class, we are working on getting ideas on paper, writing drafts, and publishing our work on Chromebooks.  I am able to add comments to their work and see what they are typing in real time.  Students are very engaged and love sharing their writing or typing with each other.

MATH

Math is all about exploration.  We have meaningful math conversations, share ideas, show strategies, and learn from each other.  We also do math workshop which provides multiple opportunities for students to see math in different situations.

READING

In reading, we have time for our read aloud (which the kids love), then we go into our reading lesson that involves our read aloud book.  Students have the opportunity to practice what they have just learned with partners.  They have independent reading time, where they think about what they are reading and share with their reading buddy.
